Privacy Policy

How Fama Unchained collects, uses, shares and protects personal information — in plain language.

This Policy applies to the Fama Unchained website (famaunchained.com) and platform (together, the “Service”), operated by LAYER4, a French SARL (société à responsabilité limitée) with share capital of €500, registered with the RCS Versailles 799 738 612 (SIRET 799 738 612 00024), with its registered office at 3 B rue Exelmans, 78000 Versailles, France, which acts as data controller for the personal data described below. For client engagements, the signed services agreement may add data-processing terms; where they differ, the agreement prevails.

1. This website

The marketing site sets no analytics cookies and runs no trackers. Pages are served statically; standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) are kept for security and operations.

2. Information we collect on the platform

  • Account information — name, email address and sign-in credentials of the client users we authorise (authentication is handled by our identity provider).
  • Engagement data — the brand profile, content, schedules, approvals and settings created in the course of the engagement.
  • Connected-platform data — when you connect a professional account (for example LinkedIn), that platform shares information with us strictly within the permissions you grant: account identity, the content needed to publish and manage your presence, aggregated metrics, and the access tokens issued for the actions you request. Tokens are stored encrypted and used only for those actions; you can revoke a connection at any time, from the Service or from the platform itself.
  • Correspondence — what you send us when you contact contact@famaunchained.com.

3. How we use information

  • to provide, operate, secure and improve the Service;
  • to prepare, submit for your approval, publish and manage content at your request;
  • to show you metrics about your presence;
  • to communicate with you about the engagement;
  • to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Performance of the contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, service improvement), consent where required (platform connections you initiate), and legal obligations.

5. How we share information

  • Connected platforms — content and instructions are transmitted to the platforms you connect, at your direction.
  • Hosting — the Service is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany.
  • Legal — where required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data retention

Engagement data is kept for the duration of the engagement and then for the period required by applicable law (for example accounting obligations). Revoked platform connections stop being used immediately; associated tokens are deleted.

7. Security

Data is protected by industry-standard measures: encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted storage of platform credentials, role-based access, and audit logging of administrative actions.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to certain processing, by writing to privacy@famaunchained.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
